Visited Whitby's at Catcliffe today. Spent £40.00. How much smaller can the haddock get?

Been visiting shop since opening but unfortunately will not be visiting again. Felt I was robbed.

Very disappointed today by our Christmas lunch. Cold soup. Our meal would have been better at a Wetherspoon. Frozen roasts, lukewarm veg. The best part of the meal was dessert. Don't waste your money.

Went yesterday to treat my sister for her birthday.

Normally just have the ordinary carvery but saw festive menu - 3 courses - so opted for that. Would rather have had the traditional prawn cocktail as opposed to the crispy one which we had! Then our ticket said festive carvery. Nothing different to ordinary carvery, not served with a sausage or a pig in blanket. I thought festive dinner would have included these! Very disappointed. Wish we had just gone for the ordinary carvery now.

If I could have given zero stars believe me I would have done!! Food is average but that's true of all McDonald's to be honest. However, my granddaughter is a fan so bit the bullet and used the drive through at the Hillsborough branch.

Here's where the problems begin, the drive through is by far the slowest drive through I have ever used regardless of the company or product they sell. I should have known better, as I have previously driven away after ordering without paying or collecting food from there after being sat with no more than 3/4 cars in front of me for 15 mins.

On this occasion there was 6 cars in front of me, yet I still waited just under 15 mins to get to the payment window after placing the order. I have used other McDonald's drive throughs both in Sheffield and other cities and have not experienced a problem. But each and every time I visit the Hillsborough one the service is extremely poor, with the wait beyond belief.

The staff are friendly etc... but seem to be clueless when it comes to pulling the order together and serving the customer in a timely fashion. I don't blame the staff though, I blame the manager, who clearly does not have the first idea on how to train and arrange his staff so that maximum productivity and customer satisfaction is achieved!

Had a carvery me and my husband on Saturday 19/11/22 around about 2PM. Ended up leaving carvery; not very nice. Very disappointed. Will not be having one again.

First time visit with a party of 7 for Sunday lunch. The menu was extensive with meals for all tastes. Service spot on and very friendly. Will be back.

Probably the worst Indian takeaway I have ever had! Everything was lukewarm and bland. The onion bhaji looked and tasted about a week old. I would avoid, there are better Indian takeaways in S12. Will never use again.

Twelve of us had an excellent gathering here today. We are all originally from this area and had a school reunion. We all had meals and drinks. The food was great, clean plates all round. The staff were friendly and helpful waiter service with a smile. We would all recommend this restaurant and will certainly return. Extremely good value, great food and lovely staff. Thank you so much. x

The food was beautiful, perfectly presented and tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly, creating a perfect relaxing night. Highly recommend.

Had the weekday menu - £9.99 for 3 courses. Food was lovely, just the right amount on each course and our waitress, Ella, was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

This McDonald's has just had a refurb. Looks awful, restaurant was a mess, several dirty tables. No one seemed to be taking charge. Manager spotted doing his P&L accounts on a table. Never raised his head once. Food arrived cold and incorrect. No children's crayons or balloons. Just really poor atmosphere.

We went to the pub today and sat straight outside as a party of five.

Two ordered food on the app, but the rest went inside to order, as plain food was required. We waited 15 minutes in a queue to order.

When we got to the front we asked to order food, the person serving us shouted across the room to another person "Mel what's happening with food?"

Mel then aggressively shouts did you speak to me? Did you speak to me about food?

Giving an embarrassed negative response and explaining that some of our party had ordered already, we were told "Well you can't have food."

So we are sat outside now with two of our party eating their food and waiting for them to finish so we can leave and go somewhere we can eat.

I totally understand that they are busy and that more people have turned up than they expected, but it isn't a very good way to treat people or run a business.

Really pleased at first, but the portions have been reduced to half and a small tub of curry £1.25 is a proper rip off. I won't be going again.
