I can't get over the disappointment our party of 8 had with our Christmas meal experience. The food was good but the service was appalling. The atmosphere was non existent, the people who serviced us never had a smile.

I am so disappointed, as we come here a lot for a meal and we usually enjoy the atmosphere, but I feel gutted after spending almost £70 per person. I thought it was going to be a nice Christmas atmosphere. You wouldn't even know it was Christmas.

We had over an hour wait for the starter and a long wait for the next course, and I think they forgot our pudding until we reminded them. I'm not one for complaining but it was really shocking service.

Table booked for 9 to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We ordered drinks, I ordered Malibu & pineapple. My first sip didn't taste right. Thought it was the ice cubes but discovered a lump of mould floating in my drink, which must have come from some mouldy pineapple juice that had been stored for quite some time.

Food not brilliant but after having a thick lump of mould in my drink really makes you think what else gets used past its use by date.

Won't be going back.

We have passed this restaurant many times and always thought we would try it. My birthday was an ideal chance.

We couldn't have been more pleased. Roberto and Anna were wonderful. The restaurant was very quiet but it was on Sunday evening.

Our food was delicious. I had the prawns, which were succulent and the sauce was to die for. My fiance had a chicken dish, which he raved about. Even the veg was delicious, especially the carrots.

The meal was finished off by a free tiramisu for my birthday, and my fiance had the most gorgeous cheesecake with chocolate sauce.

We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you Roberto and Anna for making my birthday special.

Want there last Thursday for the first time - me, my husband, and 2 friends.

Lovely place and friendly staff. Disappointed with the carvery. Plenty of veg, very nice. But if you blinked you would miss the serving of meat - very small portion. Other ones we've been to have had choice of a couple of slices of meat for same price.

Will not be going back again. Disappointed.

Totally not happy with our food. We ordered chicken sizzlers and when it arrived it was aired, not sizzling. The chips where warm. This is the second time we have been served cold food. We thought we would give it another go but I don't think we will be coming again, sorry.

Ordered food for delivery from this restaurant. Extremely disappointing, especially with chicken masala. Never in my life have I seen such inedible chicken masala, which was pink, too sweet, with hardly any chicken init.

I've spent £30 for garbage food. Please don't order from this place for delivery you will truly be disappointed for quality of food that you get.

Would love to review the food but after a 30 minutes wait we were served our starters, after a further wait of 45 minutes for main courses we got up and left.

We were not the only ones. As we were seated a party of 4 left complaining about the wait. Other parties were vocal about the wait.

If the kitchen cannot cope with a busy lunchtime then the management should not be taking bookings.

Great welcome; lovely efficient staff. The only problem I found was my steak was supposed be pink, no blood, but the fillet was really thick so was bloody. No problem for them to pop under the grill for me.

The other thing was the Eaton Mess. It was all cream, very little meringue, and a bit of fruit. I only could eat a bit.

Having said all that we will be going back. Don't let this put you off, my family have been there quite a lot and have enjoyed the food.

I did bring the Eaton Mess to the staff's attention so I think it will be resolved.

So for now 9/10.

We had a Sunday lunch in December and found the staff unfailingly polite and very helpful despite it being very busy. The chef even came to our table to check our order. Very satisfied. Try the sundaes!

We were really looking forward to this, and were sooo disappointed!

As we had 1 hour 10 mins to eat before our concert booking, we were told to get the starters as the same time as the mains, as they were short-staffed and were running late? We were very annoyed, so missed the starters off. (I really wanted the chilli squid as well.)

Just ordering 4 mains, all 4 dishes were lukewarm! My prawn curry was watery and tasteless. Service was painfully slow. We saw two other tables complaining about slow orders.

We would definitely not go back again. Shame, as it has a nice menu but just doesn't live up to the expectation.

Had a meal there yesterday using the gluten-free menu as I have Coeliac disease. Just made it home in time to be violently ill. The meal had obviously contained some gluten, as I have never been that sick before with just cross-contamination. Coeliacs beware! I must say that I have been to other Frankie and Benny's with no problems.

Came here for my mum's 70th birthday meal. The food was overpriced. We all had the steak, which was frozen chips, a bit of lettuce. The steak wasn't very nice.

The food is nothing like it is in the photos. It is very expensive for just basic food when you expect something at bit more.

Very disappointing. Will not ever return here or recommend.

Had a party with family tonight. Must say amazing service and amazing food. 10/10 what an atmosphere. Amazing will be back soon. Our new favourite hidden gem.

Visited with our friends who often come to this restaurant, as they're from Sheffield. We're from Leicester and it certainly won't be the last time we come here. Food, ambience and staff were all excellent.

Can't wait to return. Worth the travel. A little authentic place of loveliness.

Just ordered drinks for my family in Elmwood Farm. My granddaughter aged 10 wanted a Coke. It was served in a pint pot and cost £2.70. We were told that was the smallest they do. That is ridiculous for a child's drink. No complaints about the carvery but will consider going somewhere else where they provide reasonably priced drinks for children.

Class curry and the service is amazing. Boss man Tony is a great guy and really looks after you. Well worth a visit.

Just had Sunday lunch at the Peacock, Owler Bar, Sheffield. Sadly this was our last attempt of trying again. Have dinned a few times. Each time got worse, with long periods between, thinking the chef would change. No, nice place but very poor, cold food, lack of staff. The two staff on duty were run off their feet. So sad, as it's such a nice pub. And for what you get it's not cheap.
